Online scam: suspects to be deported

The 100 Chinese nationals arrested for an online currency fraud scam on Friday night, are to be deported shortly to face charges for the offences they have committed in their own countries, the Police said.

O-L paper leakage: two remanded

Two suspects were remanded over the alleged leakage of questions in a science paper at the GCE (Ordinary Level) examination, the Police Media Spokesman’s Office said yesterday. The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) arrested a tuition master in Gampaha and an accomplice in connection with the incident. The two men produced in court, were remanded until December 28, the Police said.
