Nazim Ghaffoor heads ZOBRA

The 3rd Annual General Meeting of Zahira Old Boys Rugby Association (ZOBRA)
was held on November 16 at the Gafoor Hall, Zahira College, Colombo.

Former College Rugby player, President of Group of 60's and current
Chairman of College Rugby Committee Riza Abdeen was appointed as Pro Tem
Chairman to elect new office bearers.
The office bearers were elected for 2011/2012 as follows:
Nazim Ghaffoor President,
M K M Namiz Vice President, Shahul Hameed Vice President, Irfan Lye
General Secretary, Afzal Ibrahim Asst General Secretary, Shaheem Hamid
Treasurer and M Zakeer Editor.
The Zobra conducted the following projects successfully for 2012. 1.
Zobra Rugby Night 2. Ranaviru Rugby Trophy, 3. Zobra Rugby Nursery 4.
Zahira Under 12 Mini Rugby Tournament 5. Members day out 6. Zobra Ifthar
and Zahira Walk 2012.
The newly appointed president Nazeem Ghaffoor addressing the
gathering thanked all who were present at the AGM. He said that there
are new plans for the period and contribution of all the members as same
as previous period is very important.
He also outlined the importance of development of Junior Rugby of
College which will be harvested in five to six years later.
The vote of thanks was delivered by Irfan Lye, General Secretary.
