'Pay Back Shopping' from People's Bank

Some of the services include; Online Banking, Mobile Banking SMS Banking, PalmTop Banking, Credit Card Services and International Debit Card Services. Making this festive season more exciting, People's Bank offers yet another benefit "Pay Back Shopping" to its People's Bank Visa Credit Card and People's Bank Visa International Debit Card holders.

"By introducing our latest concept, 'Pay Back Shopping' people will be able to purchase goods from anywhere around the country and would be eligible to be a lucky winner. However they will only be eligible to win if they shop using People's Visa Credit Cards or People's Visa International Debit Cards, Deputy General Manager Domestic Credit, K.B. Rakapakse said.

"However, the Cardholders will only be awarded based on their expenditure. Thus, a winner who has spent only Rs.5,000 on his shopping will only be paid back that amount. While a person who has spent more than Rs.25,000 will be paid back up to Rs.25,000 if chosen as a winner," Rajapakse said.

At present, People's Bank has awarded the first 25 winning Card holders their payback and will continue this throughout the month of December.

Commenting more about the services offered during the festive season, Rajapakse said that credit cards issued during the last 2 weeks of December will be exempted from the membership cost.

"Festive season is the time when people tend to do extra spending and we hope to make their shopping experience a bit lighter on their pockets while making their financial experience more exciting", he said.

Speaking about People's Bank Card services, the Bank offers People's Visa Credit Card and this service could be obtained from any branch of the Bank and all our Account holders are entitled for a People's Visa International Debit Card free of charge. People's Bank is in the process of replacing their PET ATM Cards with new People's Bank Visa International Debit Cards and request their Account holders to obtain this service with no additional cost.
