The official partnership agreement in this regard was signed between
Max Durakathana and Airtel Lanka in Colombo recently. CellCity Lanka
will also be the customer care partner in this agreement as they are the
authorized partner for Zigo Mobiles in Sri Lanka.
Zigo mobile phones stand out among competitive offerings by virtue of
their superior technology and ultra modern features including easy
access to email and browsing as well as accessibility to social sites
such as Facebook, Twitter etc. Sri Lanka, being a mature market in terms
of mobile phone penetration as well as the presence of leading
international brands, Zigo has mapped out a well thought of strategy of
positioning its high quality devises at affordable rates, packaged with
value-for-money bundled offers.
With this objective in mind, the company offers three Android devices
to the Sri Lankan market - namely Eon 3i, Eon 5i and the Nebula 7.1 Tab.
The Nebula 7.1 Tab is a Tablet PC with a 7 inch Multi-Touch
Capacitance LCD touch screen which runs on the Android Ice Cream
Sandwich Operating System and is powered by a 1GHz processor. It also
features a 5 Mega Pixel camera and a secondary camera for video calls.
This supports both voice and data as opposed to other similar devices
of this nature.
The Tab comes with a free leather pouch and a screen protection
sticker adding more value to the purchase.
All 3 of these devices are 3G, GPS and Wi-Fi enabled and come with a
one year warranty for the device and six months for accessories.
Bharti Airtel Lanka commenced commercial operations of services in
Sri Lanka on January 12, 2009, and was the fastest operator to reach one
million customers.
