Monash University hosts get together in SL
Australia ‘s largest university is proud to host a get together of
Monash alumni in Sri Lanka, which will take place on December 14 2012.
Several senior staff from Monash University, including Deputy
Vice-Chancellor (Global Engagement) Professor Stephanie Fahey, Deputy
Dean (Research) Faculty of Business and Economics Professor Gary Magee,
and the Head of Department of Management Professor Ian McLoughlin will
be in attendance.
Australia has been consistently ranked as the most popular
destination for Sri Lankan students wishing to undertake overseas
tertiary education.

University, Associate Professor Ramanie Samaratunge, said Monash was one
of the universities at which students looked forward to studying due to
its international reputation for excellence.
“We are hosting this get together for Monash alumni in Sri Lanka
because of the significant number of graduates living here. So far we
have had a great response from our past students and we look forward to
a great occasion,” Associate Professor Samaratunge said.
The Alumni community at Monash University plays a significant role
globally to offer better opportunities to its members and create
lifelong relationships between members as well as with the university;
this collegial relationship will be encouraged amongst Monash alumni in
Sri Lanka as well.

This is being held in partnership with the Sri Lanka Institute of
Development Administration (SLIDA) and will focus on the subject of
Development Challenges in the Asia Pacific: Millennium Development Goals
and Beyond. ANC Education is the only licensed education partner with
Monash College represented in Sri Lanka and will continue to promote
education excellence offered by Monash College to the local community.
