Pussalla wins NCE awards again in two consecutive years

Pussalla Meat Producers (Pvt) Ltd, is the proud recipient of the
prestigious Gold Winner-National Business Excellence Award in Live Stock
and Fisheries sector conducted by the National Chamber of Commerce of
Sri Lanka in year 2012. They were awarded the same in year 2011 as well.
An ISO Certified meat processing company, was founded in 1988 and has
since grown to become one of the largest poultry processing companies in
Sri Lanka with a capital outlay of over One Billion Rupees, providing
employment to over 1,200. Vertical integration is the hallmark of
Pussalla, which gives the unique advantage of being able to manage the
entire industry process; from the production of Day Old Chicks to the
retail marketing of meat products to the consumers through a chain of
Pussalla Meat Shops.
The company operates as the most environmentally friendly industrial
venture in Sri Lanka with zero impact on natural resources. Pussalla
owns the largest Modern Hatchery Complex in the country, employing
modern technology and equipped with state-of-the art machinery, having a
total incubation capacity of over 1.7 million eggs.
Currently they are in the process of establishing a Grand Parent Farm
in collaboration with an internationally, reputed breeder company, with
a view to supplying parent chicks locally to fulfill the 44% of Import
Parent chicks requirement in Sri Lanka and also aiming at international
markets. Pussalla is planning to establish a Feed Milling Complex and an
additional Processing Facility to further enhance their production
capacity and sustainability. |
