President to open CA Sri Lanka’s multi storied complex today
The multi storied building complex of the Institute of Chartered
Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka), will be opened by President,
Mahinda Rajapaksa today at Colombo 7.
The building complex consisting of six floors is built on a 44,000
sq. ft. floor area at a project cost of Rs. 550 million.
In its capacity as the national body of accountants, CA Sri Lanka
aspires to provide enhanced facilities and services for the benefit of
the Institute’s key stakeholders, including over 4300 members and 37,000
students through the new infrastructure project.
The project which was launched in May last year was completed within
a short period of time, in keeping with the country’s ambitious vision
towards transforming Sri Lanka as a knowledge hub in the world, along
with a skilled workforce.
The building complex houses several state-of-the-art lecture and
study rooms which can accommodate up to 300 students, a fully-fledged IT
laboratory with over 150 computers together with a student counseling
and service centre. The complex also boasts of a lounge for networking
and enhanced facilities to conduct programmes for the benefit of all CA
Sri Lanka members, along with a roof top terrace and various meeting and
training rooms.
