Ceylon Government Railway beat Government Press by nine wickets in their Inter government services over forty tournament cricket match which was worked off at Railway grounds Colombo.

Batting first visitors were all out for 100 runs and Thilak de Silva and Chaminda Maligarathne Claimed 3 for 18 and 3 for 12 respectively.

Railway in reply notched up the required score for the loss of one wicket with Chrishantha Rodrigo unbeaten on 58 runs.

Government press - 100 in 28.5 overs (Rashika Madushaka 26, Thilak de Silva 3/18, Chaminda Maligarathne 3/12, M. Ekanayake 2/24).

Railway - 104/1 in 17.1 overs (Crishantha Rodrigo 58 n/o, Thilak de Sivla 15, A.D. Egodapitiya 1 n/o).
