is growing and we see a tremendous potential in Sri Lanka. In addition
Korean travellers like to visit new destination and we hope to market
Sri Lanka to them," he said.
The number of Korean tourists visiting Sri Lanka would improve
tremendously as almost 25% of the total Korean population travel
overseas for leisure.
"As Korean Air currently operates to 15 cities in Japan, Sri Lanka
could receive an increased number of Japanese tourists inbound on Korean
Air Services to Colombo."

would help improve the number of Chinese tourists visiting Sri Lanka as
it is just one-and-hour-hours flying time from Northern Chinese cities
to Seoul/Incheon International Airport." "Korean Air would also be more
convenient for Sri Lankans travelling to the USA and Canada due to the
visa exemption they receive in Seoul while in transit."

Sri Lanka including tuna fish exports.
"Direct Korean Air services to Colombo will mean that they could
export their products within the minimum number of flying hours to Japan
and the USA bound flights."
" The Korean Air's new direct service will definitely help the
government of Sri Lanka to achieve the anticipated number of 2.5 million
tourist arrivals to the country by the year 2016, said Chairman Finco
