British think-tank postpones Petraeus award
UK: A leading British defence think-tank said on Wednesday it had
postponed the presentation of its highest award to former CIA chief
David Petraeus after he was involved in a sex scandal.
The retired US General had been due to visit London in late November
to receive the Royal United Services Institute's Chesney Gold Medal
Award for his counterinsurgency strategies in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Sylvester Stallone hints at Rambo’s last stand
ITALY: Action hero Rambo may make a return to the big screen for one
last battle, Hollywood veteran Sylvester Stallone said Wednesday in Rome
where his latest gun-toting buddy flick screened its world premiere.
“The Rambo thing, that's why I don't retire. I just see a guy unable
to go home. He needs war and I see him dying there,” Stallone said about
the Vietnam veteran he played in a series of four films from 1982 to
2008.

Brazil eyes cloning to bolster endangered species
BRAZIL: Scientists in Brazil will try cloning endangered animal
species like the jaguar, a researcher said Wednesday.
“The idea is to start with an animal that is endangered, or where
species numbers have gone down sharply, such as the jaguar, the maned
wolf or even the local deer,” said Carlos Frederico Martins, a
researcher with Embrapa Cerrado.

Jeb Bush wants donor support for son’s political bid
US; Former Florida governor Jeb Bush has reached out to his old
donors, asking them to help get another George Bush -- his son --
established in Texas politics, US media reported Wednesday.
George P. Bush aims to be the third member of the Bush political
dynasty to make a name for himself in the Lone Star state.
