Amazing Beats Live in Concert
Amazing Beats - Live in Concert, which will symbolize the musical
combination of three generations, will come alive on November 17 at St.
Joseph’s College Auditorium at 6.30 pm.
This musical extravaganza will unfold a rare combination of Pop,
Baila and Rock music featuring Lahiru Perera, Theekshana Anuradha,
Dalrene Suby, Anil Bhareti, Priyantha Fernando, Indrani Perera, Lankika
Perera, Sanka Dineth, Ronnie Leitch, Surenie de Mel, Udesh Indula,
Rukshan Perera, Luckey Deva and Dushayantha Weeraman along with a
humorous act presented by Don Guy. Musical backing will be provided by
Chimes of The 70s led by Rukshan Karunanayke and Glory led by Sahan
Silva. The choreography of the event will be handled by Solar Hits with
Sanka Prasad.
The concert is organized by the Parishioners of Queen of Angels’
Church, Rawathawatta and managed by Danushka Maladeniya of Cactus
Holdings together with Hiru TV and Elakiri.com.
All proceedings will be donated to the Building Fund of Queen of
Angels’ Church.
All the musical lovers are warmly invited to enjoy a spectacular
evening of amazing music which is sure to be a memorable one.
Down Memory Lane 2012
The Moratuwa Arts Forum will be holding its musical programme Down
Memory Lane 2012 for the 14th consecutive year at the Hotel Ranmal on
November 18 at 6.30 pm.

Annual Kalyana Ranga Cultural show

The annual Kalyana Ranga Cultural show organized by the Sri Lanka
India Cultural Association at the Central Province will be held on
Saturday, November 17 at 4.45 pm at the Hindu Cultural Association
Auditorium, Peradeniya Road, Kandy.
Several leading schools and institutes are expected to participate at
this event.
The chief guest on the occasion will be his Natarajan, Assistant High
Commissioner for India in Kandy.
Christmas in the Air with the Thomian Society of Colombo
The Thomian Society of Colombo, which has been renowned for producing
the most colourful events on the calendar, are now all set and ready to
provide a glittering evening of music, song and dance on Friday November
30 at the Lotus Room of the Grand Oriental Hotel starting at 8.30 pm.
Two bands namely Pearl and Sam the Man will be the entertainment for
the night while the compere for the evening will be Vijaya Corea.
This colourful evening will move on from Christmas Carols to singing
the Golden Oldies and then on to dancing. A sumptuous buffet dinner in
addition to many prizes and surprises will make the event an opportunity
not to be missed!

Group of ‘89-Royal’s over 40 champions
Royal College Group of ‘89 won the over 40 event of the Royal Rugby
Fiesta held at CR and FC Grounds on Sunday by beating the Royal College
Group of ‘87 by 25 points (five tries) to five ( one try) in the final.
The Royal 89’ Group had players of the calibre of former Sri Lanka
flanker Alfred Hensman and Royal First XV Centres Vajira Gamage and
P.W.Perera. |
