Redefining and taking to the next level the inherent care and
attention it gives its millions of customers across the country, Seylan
Bank recently launched its newest service - 'Seylan Suhada Sewa.'

As its name suggests, 'Seylan Suhada Sewa' pay special attention and
care to those customers who need special assistance and help to perform
their day-to-day banking transactions whenever they visit their Seylan
Bank branch.
As part of this laudable initiative that borders on a social service
project rather than a mere banking service, each one of Seylan Bank's
140 branches across the country, would henceforth have a dedicated and
specially trained staff who would personally assist and take care of the
banking needs of their customers.
This service would be offered to elderly senior citizens,
differently-abled persons, pregnant mothers, mothers with infants and
members of the clergy, etc.
Seylan Bank's General Manager / CEO Kapila Ariyaratne said, "Seylan
Bank has a long tradition and a reputation for living up to its motto of
being the Bank with a Heart. One has to realise that there is a
considerable number of persons in our society, who deserve and indeed
need additional help and assistance in their day-to-day functions,
including their visits to their bank. Recognising this need, 'Seylan
Suhada Sewa' is launched as yet another extension of the love and care
with which we at Seylan respond to our customers' needs. As a truly
service-oriented, caring and socially responsible corporate citizen,
we're happy to dedicate this special service to those who need our
attention. Our aim always has been to make banking with Seylan both a
pleasant and memorable experience."
Recent statistics reveal that Sri Lanka's ageing population is
rapidly on the increase. Senior citizens have made a significant
contribution to society during their time and now, in turn, need
assistance from responsible corporates and society. Those with temporary
or permanent disability also need special attention and this includes
Sri Lanka's thousands of war heroes. Similarly, pregnant mothers and
those carrying infants need help at all times. Members of the clergy too
need to, at all times, be given the due respect from society and this
latest service offering from Seylan duly recognises and fulfills this
obligation. "We're confident that with the launch of 'Seylan Suhada
Sewa,' we could make a significant change and bring about a tangible
improvement in the manner in which these respected segments of society
conduct their day-to-day transactions. Society would undoubtedly be a
better place if everyone bands together and works on similar lines. We
at Seylan are proud and privileged to show the way', added Seylan Bank's
Chairman Mohan Pieris, PC.
