Mortar found in Batticaloa

A 50 mm mortar was found in Kankeyanodai, Batticaloa by Kattankudi Police yesterday.

The search was made by OIC Ajith Prasanna following information from the Criminal Investigation Unit of Kattankudi Police.

Investigations revealed it had been hidden by the LTTE.

The mortar was brought to the Kattankudi Police Station. Investigations are continuing.
