Rain and flood havoc affect 6,000 families

Around 17,000 people belonging to 4,500 families have been affected and another 1,500 families displaced due to the floods caused by heavy rains that lashed the country during last two days, Disaster Management Centre Deputy Director of Media Sarath Lal Kumara told the Daily News yesterday.
