Total tea production in Sri Lanka - Sept 2012

The Sri Lanka Tea Board announced that the total reported production of tea in Sri Lanka during the month of September 2012, had amounted to 26,824,107 kg as against 23,963,730 kg, produced during the corresponding month in 2011. This shows an increase of 2,860,377 kg or 11.9 percent.

The total tea production during the period January to September 2012, had amounted to 241,720,193kg, as against 245,156,325kg, produced during the corresponding period of 2011, shows a decrease of 3,436,132kg or 1.4 percent.

The elevation-wise break down of the tea production and total tea production in September 2012 and the total production during January to September 2012, along with the corresponding figures for the previous year is appended below.
