Laptops, vehicle loans for journalists, artistes

Mass Media and Information Minister Keheliya Rambukwella said yesterday arrangements have been finalised to grant vehicle loans and provide Laptops for qualified journalists and artistes next month.

The inauguration ceremony of the programme will be held at Temple

Trees under the patronage of President Mahinda Rajapksa on November 17 and around 100 journalists and artiste will receive Laptops and vehicle loans at the ceremony.

Rambukwella said the ministry had received 1,055 applications from journalists to obtain vehicle loan of Rs. 1.2 million.
