Sri Lankan quantity surveyors play indoor cricket in UAE

In a brief span of two years, SLQS-UAE Trophy, inter-club indoor cricket tournament has enjoyed unprecedented success. This year's tournament will be held tomorrow at Dubai Insportz Courts at Al Quoz, Dubai. The event has become a permanent fixture in the local cricket calendar in the United Arab Emirates. Sixteen teams will vie for honours this year in the round robbing format whilst last year it was 12 teams.

Teams will be divided into four groups and the top ranked team of each group will go onto compete in the Trophy Championship while the runners-up and second runner-up of each group will progress to compete in the Plate and Cup championship categories respectively.

Defending champions in the Trophy was Desert Cubs Cricket Academy whilst Damac LLC and Indian Quantity Surveyors Association were the champions on Plate and Cup respectively.

Dubai Properties Group - Blue, Dubai Properties Group - Red, Damac LLC, Desert Cubs Cricket Academy, Faith & Gould. Fun Boys, Hard Hitters, Highgate LLC, Indian Quantity Surveying Group, Mulberry Eleven, NabihAzzam Partners, Olcott Schools -XI, Rigga Boys, Sinha Cricket Club, Abu Dhabi Active Boys, and Kicker are the participating 16 teams. Sri Lankan Quantity Surveyors group in the United Arab Emirates (www.slqs-uae.org) organizes this tournament for the consecutive second year.
