Secretary V Sivagnanasothy said the industrial exhibition in Nuwara -
Eliya was the 20th of the series of industrial exhibitions held
islandwide to develop the domestic and small and medium scale industries
under the Divineguma programme of the President.
“The motive of this programme is to reach out to the poor of the
country for their development and to make them stake-holders of the
development process in progress,” he said.
Sivagnanasothy said Minister Devananda informed him to convey those
visiting the exhibition, especially, those desirous of commencing their
own industries to submit their applications at the end of the
exhibition, as done in previous exhibitions, so that his ministry could
provide them with training, technology, raw material and preparation of
the proposals they require. Ministers, MPs and state officials also
participated. |
