Nugegoda Sujathian shine in essay competition

Withanage Hashini Kawshika of Sujatha Vidyalaya, Nugegoda was placed first in an essay competition in the 10 to 18 years category organised by the Royal Thai embassy and the Sri Lanka - Thailand Society to make Sri Lankans aware about the 260th anniversary of the establishment of the Siyam Nikaya in Sri Lanka to be celebrated here next year. Her topic was 'Contribution of Venerable Upali Maha Thera of Ayuttaya in the revival of Buddhism in Sri Lanka.'
