Madyawediyakuge Asipatha at Punchi theatre

Namel Weeramuni’s Madyawediyakuge Asipatha is an original play that was born out of a six months workshop that conducted at the Punchi Theatre. Play was hailed as “a must be seen play” and “rear and rich experience” because of its novel production approach, superb acting and strong subject matter.

Madyawediyakuge Asipatha goes on the boards on October 23 at 6.45 pm at the Namel Malini Punchi Theatre at its Theatre Festival which started on October 8 that goes on till November 3.

Play is written, directed and produced by Namel Weeramuni.

The cast includes Lalindra Dissanayake, Anil K Wijesignhe Dulanjali Wijesena, Namel Weeramuni, Upul Snjeewa, Senevirathne Bandara, Pinsara Samarasekera, Ishara Wickramasignhe, Darsana Obeysekera, Lakshman Udaya Kumara, Dilini Prasadini, Turulika Gimhani, Damith Wilegoda, Buddhika Prematilaka, Sangeeth Perera, Jayashan Rajitha. Music is composed and directed by Visharada Jayatissa Alahakoon for the lyrics written by Namel Weeramuni. Somasiri Beddegama supports with a few others in the orchestra. Choreography is by late Dr. Wasantha Kumara Dep.
