Forged IDs: two arrested

A special Police team attached to the Maradana Police deployed by Western Province Senior DIG Anura Senanayake arrested two suspects who are alleged to have printed forged National Identity Cards at a house in the Maradana Police area.

The special Police team led by Maradana MQ Branch OIC Neomal Fernando also seized several items, including a computer, used by the suspects to print the forged Identity Cards.

Police said the suspects charged about Rs. 35,000 to prepare a forged ID card.

Investigations are being conducted by Senior SP Mackie Perera with SP Ranjith Dayananda assisted by PS Somaratne and PCs Herath, Asela and Warnasuriya of the Maradana Police.
