Italian Film Festival at Cine City

The Italian Sri Lankan Film Festival will be held from October 19 -21 at Cine City, Maradana.

The festival is organised by the Italian Embassy in Sri Lanka in collaboration with Cine City, sponsored by Sri- Lankan Airlines, Colombo Courtyard Hotel and National Film Corporation of Sri Lanka.

The aim of the festival is to raise awareness of and promote Italian and Sri Lankan cinema in a spirit of freedom and tolerance.

The theme of the festival is 'Migration and beyond.'

October 19: (Morning) a movie by Michelangelo Antonioni, (Evening) Paola Randi will present an introduction to Into Paradiso South Asian film premier.

October 20: (Morning) Boodee Keerthisena will present his movie with an introduction, (Evening) Italian short film to be screened with an introduction by Stefano Martina.

October 21: (Morning) Workshop for the short filmmakers of Sri Lanka with Paola Randi and Stefano Martina. (Evening) Screening of the Sri Lankan short films followed by an award ceremony for the best three short films.
