Lankan held over mobile phone burglaries

Sharjah Police arrested a 30-year-old Sri Lankan national allegedly involved in a series of burglaries in mobile phone outlets in various parts of the emirate. He was arrested after a Moroccan shop owner lodged a complaint about an unknown person who broke into his shop and stole the mobile phones displayed for sale.

It was found out that the suspect had been staying illegally in the country and had no ID proof.
