Vocational training in Malaysia under SKILLS MALAYSIA INVITE Programme

Skills Malaysia INVITE programme helps you to brighten your educational career and enhances your opportunity for global employability through its unique placement in industrial vocational training programmes in Malaysia. As an industrialized nation pursuing high technological manufacture, Malaysia today has emerged as an Asian giant in trade and industry and In the areas of education, training and developing vocational skills enhancing employability. Malaysia has become a trusted destination for international students and is now granting opportunities to Sri Lankan students interested in vocational training through the International Technical Education and Vocational Training Program in Malaysia (or better known as INVITE).

This is a Malaysian Government initiative (by the Department of Skills Development, Ministry of Human Resources Malaysia) designed specifically for international students. It has been developed with the aim of producing graduates with comprehensive skills and knowledge in technical and vocational disciplines to become more skilled employees or establish their own businesses.

The model of Skills Malaysia INVITE comprises four elements which helps students to follow a solid curriculum with global perspective that enables to get them a Malaysian qualification and an international certification. It also enables students to build strong industry links with engagement of Skills Malaysia industry lead bodies in development and internship opportunities.

The program offers a comprehensive technical and vocational training led by experts of the industry which is developed based on the National Occupational Skills Standard (NOSS) and to date and it has over 1400 accredited programs across multiple disciplines. This program allows students a flexible pathway to acquire skills and qualifications that covers Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 of the Malaysian Skills Certificate to Level 4 which is the Malaysian Skills Diploma as well as the Level 5, Malaysian Skills Advance Diploma.

The program accredited by the Malaysian Government contains pathways that enable students to gain internationally recognized qualifications through built in internship/ work program that also offers opportunity for students to obtain further certification by City & Guilds (UK), Confederation of Tourism, Hotel & Catering Management (UK), LCCI (UK), TAFE (Australia) and other international and professional bodies.

Making Sri Lankan students’ dream of aspiring quality education combined with vocational training and internships/work experience gained through industrial placement, Seekers Worldwide has tied up with REXPO Malaysia to invite students, parents and any individual that is keen for more global exposure and opportunities to attend the SKILLS MALAYSIA INVITE SEMINAR on October 20, at the Main Ballroom, Hotel Galadari between 8.30am to 1.00pm.

Officials from the Department of Skills Development, Ministry of Human Resources Malaysia would be present to give talks and consultation to interested candidates.
