Innings win over Ananda:
Richmond in another historic win

Richmond College recorded their second historic win for the season,
when they beat Ananda College, Colombo by an innings and 64 runs in the
Inter-School Under 19 Cricket encounter played at Ananda Mawatha
recently.
Taking the first lease of the wicket , Ananda College scored 155 in
50.1 overs. Kushil Perera scored 40 runs while Thushara Samarakoon
contributed with 35 runs. A.K.Tyron was the most admirable among the
bowlers with four wickets for 26 while Saveen Nanayakkara bagged three
wickets for 17. The lads from Galle replied the Colombo School with a
well compiled 286 runs for seven wickets (declared) in 62.3 overs.
Hasitha Madushan (57) and Chamod Piyumal (55) scored fine half centuries
for Richmond. Sithara Gimhana(44), Saveen Nanayakkara(37), Kelum
Nanayakkara(33)and A.K.Tyron(25) too contributed for Richmond’s success.
Thamala Athulathmudali was the main wrecker with five wickets for 58.
Ananda were skittled out for paltry 67 runs in 23.5 overs in their
second innings.A.K.Tyron added another six wickets for his match bag
(six for 29) while Saveen Nanayakkara took four wickets for 18.
