Commercial Bank rewards MoneyGram recipients

The Commercial Bank of Ceylon, recently conducted a ‘MoneyGram Happy
Customer Day’ at its Kotahena branch to mark the visit of the MoneyGram
Regional Director and South Asian team.
All customers who received MoneyGram remittances via the Bank’s
Kotahena Branch on the day of the promotion, received special gift
packs. The promotion coincided with the visit of the MoneyGram
management to Sri Lanka for the ICC World T20. MoneyGram is the official
money transfer partner for the ICC T-20 tournament.
Senior representatives of Commercial Bank and MoneyGram, were present
at the presentation of gifts to customers.
Commercial Bank signed up with MoneyGram, the global funds transfer
company, in 2007 to further enhance its market share in the remittance
business and to expand its presence to the other parts of the world,
especially North America and Western Europe.
Commercial Bank now offers remitters the ability to transfer funds
quickly from a network of 275,000 MoneyGram agents in 192 countries and
for payments in Sri Lanka to be collected at any of its service points.
The Bank was adjudged South Asia’s Most Productive Network for
MoneyGram in 2011.
Commercial Bank is the largest private bank in Sri Lanka and the only
Sri Lankan Bank listed in the world’s Top 1,000 Banks for two years
consecutively.
The Bank has been adjudged ‘Best Bank in Sri Lanka’ for 14
consecutive years by ‘Global Finance’ Magazine, and has won multiple
awards as the country’s best bank from ‘The Banker,’ ‘FinanceAsia,’
‘Euromoney’ and ‘Trade Finance’ magazines. Commercial Bank also operates
17 service points in Bangladesh and is the 4th largest foreign bank in
