‘Cyberoam’ to roam big In Sri Lanka

Expanding the growth of IT industry and telecommunication in Sri
Lanka while introducing Sri Lanka with the latest technologies and

With the above intentions in mind and more to provide Avian
Technologies Sri Lanka had joined hands with Cyberoam, a product
launched by Elitecore Technologies. This is purpose-built for
comprehensive network security and performance needs of small, medium
and large enterprises in many different businesses.
Daily News had an interview with Sunil Sharma – Vice President,
Sales, India and SAARC, Elitecore Technologies, as he concluded his
recent visit to the island. To finalize some of their last rounds of
meetings with their tele-communication partners as a part of their co
and future plans. Speaking with Sharma who was also assisted by Ranil
Francisco, Director Avian Technologies, spoke about the company’s
performance, increasing enterprise focus and future plan initiatives, co
plans in Sri Lanka and nationwide channel meet.
Talking about the Product, Sharma explained; “Cyberoam’s product
range offers network security (Cyberoam UTM appliances), centralized
security management (Cyberoam Central Console appliances), centralized
logging and reporting (bentod are), endpoint data protection (Cyberoam
Endpoint Data Protection appliances) to corporations. Cyberoam UTM
provides comprehensive Internet security by integrating a range of
security features Firewall–VPN (SSL VPN & IPSec), Gateway Anti-Virus,
Anti-Spyware and Anti-Spam, Intrusion Prevention System (IPS), Content &
Application Filtering, Web Application Firewall in addition to enhanced
productivity through Bandwidth Management, Multiple Link Management for
Load Balancing and Gateway Failover, over a single platform.”
Sunil brings an extensive experience of 20+ years in the IT industry
in the field of computers, Storage and Security.
He has worked with almost all possible sales channels – SI, VAR, ISP,
Resellers, Dealers, Retail, OEM. His end customer experience has also
been across all segments – Enterprise, SME, SMB, SOHO.
He said, “The need of this product in Sri Lanka is unexpectedly high,
as a result of which we are expected to widen the operations in Sri
Lanka within the next few months.”
Sharma, highly commended the service and cooperation that had been
led by Avian Technologies in Sri Lanka and re assured, they’d continue
to hold hands with Sri Lanka through Avian Technologies as their main
partner.
Speaking about future plans for Sri Lanka, Fransisco said, “We are
investing in a large team of players in the market. We are looking ahead
at a tough competition from our opponents, but with a product like
Cyberoam in our hands, the markets look pretty clear.”
Sharma was also thankful for the corporate partners who had held
successful meetings. “My next visit to Sri Lanka will include the final
formalities of signing bonds with other partners we are planning to join
hands with in Sri lanka,” he concluded. |
