Wesley in easy victory

Wesley College, Colombo trounced Moratu Vidyalaya by ten wickets in their inter-school first eleven tournament cricket match worked off at Campbell Park, Colombo.

The match commenced at 1 pm on day one due to overnight rain and at one stage Vidyalians were 50 for no loss and the wickets tumbled at regular intervals and visitors were all out for 132 runs. Sachin Jayawardene claimed 5 for 23.

In reply Weslyites declared at 183 for eight and in their second essay visitors collapsed for a paltry 54 runs with Basith Muzamil returning with fine figures of 7 for 20 including a hatrick.
