success at the examination through the internet.
Though I worked hard in getting ready for the examination I did not
expect to be the all island’s first. I was highly delighted to know my
great achievement. My result is a great honour to my school. I actively
participated in a number of extracurricular activities in the school. I
also without fail took part in extra classes conducted by the school.
I am a junior prefect of the college and a member of the school Chess
team which could notch up several district and all island victories.
Additionally I was a member of the college music band. But any of those
activities did not hamper my educational activities.
While engaging in educational activities I enjoyed some selected
programmes on the TV too. I did my studies everyday till 9 p.m. I never
exert my energy unwantedly by breaking rest the whole night. My mother
and father guided me in my studies. They provided me with pastpapers and
supplementary books needed for the Year Five Scholarship Examination. My
ambition is to be an engineer.
Kisara Kodithuwakku’s mother Dr. Anoma Erandathi Weerasinghe serves
