The Interact Club of Muslim Ladies' College (MLC) Colombo 4 organized their Annual 'Ifthar' ceremony at Miami Reception Hall, Colombo recently under the theme of 'Restoring hopes Rebuilding lives.' More than 150 Interactors from leading schools in Colombo participated.

The very special invitees at the event were the orphans of the Ceylon Moor Ladies' Union (CMLU) Orphanage Balapokuna. The chief guest Principal of the Muslim Ladies’ College,Dr. Hajarjahan Mansoor,the Guest Speaker Al Haj Al - Hafil Ehsan Iqbal and Rotary advisor Rtn.Rohan Karunarathne participated at this ceremony.

The Interact Club of MLC has completed many 'Ifthar' projects such as

*Visiting the Fathima Welfare Center and CIS orphanage.

*Distributing Dry Rations and Gifts

*having Ifthar with the orphans and educating them about the Value of Education.

The Chairperson of the Interactors Zumra Thaha made Ifthar 2012 very colorful and significant.

The entire event was covered with interrelationship activities which promoted multi cultural values within other communities.
