Cultural show for CPC delegates

A cultural show featuring Sri Lanka's traditional dances and songs
native to various parts of the island would be held at the Nelum Pokuna
Mahinda Rajapaksa Theatre for delegates participating in the ongoing
58th Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference in Colombo today. Deputy
Speaker Chandima Weerakkody said artsistes from various parts of the
island will perform their traditional dances and songs native to their
areas.
This will be followed by a dinner hosted by Speaker and CPA President
Chamal Rajapaksa for over 1,200 invitees comprising the visiting
delegates, all 225 members of the Sri Lankan Parliament and other
dignitaries representing the country in various spheres. |
