also doing their part to commemorate the occasion. Abans Ltd is the
exclusive partner of LG - the global partner for the T20 Cricket World
Cup 2012. In addition to the countless promotions and events that the
company has already had, Abans has decided to organize the first ever
‘LG Abans T20 Walk” on September 14th, commencing from 10.30 am.
The LG Abans T20Walk is being held as a gesture of blessing for the
Sri Lankan cricket team as they enter the T20 tournament. More than 2000
people are expected to attend the walk including staff from Abans
headquarters, Abans Auto, Abans Service, Abans Tours, Showroom Managers,
Customers, special clubs and societies have also been invited to attend
the event. Guests of honour to the event include Abans Chairperson, Mrs.

The Walk will begin at the Abans Headquarters on Galle Road and
continue to Liberty Plaza, Duplication Road, past Bambalapitiya and
finally come to an end once again at the Abans Headquarters.
The LG BAT that was launched at Galle Face Green on August 12th will
also be joining the LG Abans T20 Walk to collect autographs of well
wishing cricket fans from the cricket loving public joining the walk.
The LG BAT is in the process of travelling around the country collecting
autographs from the public and it will finally be presented to the Sri
Lankan cricket team at a grand ceremony before the T20 world cup begins.
Exciting events and competitions will take place during the Walk as
well. Participants will receive the opportunity to walk the parade with
LG Abans banners, flags and balloons. Horse carts, stilt walkers,
drummers, dancers and two elephants will also be accompanying
participants throughout the parade. Papare teams will also be performing
at the event while participants at the walk will compete for the Best
Dressed Vehicle award. The best and most creatively decorated vehicle
will win a grand prize. The general public is also eligible for this
grand competition and you are all encouraged to bring your own decorated
vehicles and show your creativity on the streets.
