Easy victory for Moratu Vidyalaya

Moratu Vidyalaya beat the touring Bhutan U-19 National Team by nine wickets in their cricket match worked off at Moratu Vidyalaya grounds yesterday. The visitors are playing five matches during their tour prior to the ICC Division eight tournament to be held in Suva.

Taking the first lease visitors were all out for 61 runs with Jigmy Singay making the top score of 18 runs while Harshika Novodha capturing 3 for 7 runs for Vidyalians. In reply homesters notched up the required score for the loss of one wicket with Ishan Nilaksha scoring an unbeaten 32 runs.

Bhutan National Team: 61 in 28 overs (Jigmy Singay 18, Thering Doriji 16, Phuntsho 10, Harishka Novodha 3/7, Nipun Randika 2/14)

Moratu Vidyalaya: 62/1 in 14 overs (Ishan Nilaksha 32 n.o., Thilan Kavishka 19 n.o.)
