Pakistan and SL for closer cooperation in defence
Pakistan and Sri Lanka have underscored the need
for maintaining and promoting closer cooperation‚ particularly in
the area of defence production. This was noted at a meeting held
between the Secretary Defence Production (Retired) Lt. Gen. Shahid
Iqbal and the visiting Sri Lankan Brigadier T.N. Jayasooriya in
Islamabad.

Navy Commander says attacking Forces on political stages

Navy Commander Vice Admiral Somathilake
Dissanayake yesterday said it was regrettable that attacks are being
carried out against the Security Forces on political platforms,
asserting that the members of the Army, Navy and Air Force made
sacrifices solely to protect the motherland and not curry favour
with any political party.
