Federation of Information Technology Industry Sri Lanka (FITIS) will
unveil two big league ICT events in November, portraying the country's
persistent development and the significance of Information
communications and technology.
Sri Lanka will host its biggest ICT event of the year ASOCIO 2012,
from November15-17 at the Hilton Colombo alongside Sri Lanka's most
sought after IT exhibition INFOTEL 2012 which is to be held from
November 16-18 2012 at the BMICH.
ASOCIO 2012 will be an ideal platform for ASOCIO members to build
much needed corporate links between local partners and government
authorities whilst exploring the existing business opportunities in the
fast growing local ICT industry.
This year summit is expected to attract over 250 local delegates as
well as 250 foreign delegates from 29 countries,among which,
leaders of ICT domains such as World IT and Services Alliances (WISTA),
Multimedia Super Corridor Malaysia, Nasscom India and other dignitaries
are to participate the event. ASOCIO 2012 themed "ICT beyond Borders"
will comprise of business match-making and networking events for the all
the delegates and business networking events will be very much supported
and developed by the Export Development Board of Sri Lanka.
The Asian Oceania Computing Industry Organization (ASOCIO) is a body
which represents 29 economies comprising of 22 member countries and
seven guest countries.
INFOTEL 2012 will showcase over 250 stalls including hardware,
software, system integration, ITES/BPO, office automation, gaming,
e-Citizen services, e-health, IT in agriculture, telecommunication
equipment and ICT training.
