Schools reopen on September 3

The Education Ministry yesterday said all government and government approved schools will reopen for academic activities on September 3. According to a release issued by Education Ministry Secretary Gotabhaya Jayarathna, the schools which were to be kept closed for the first stage evaluation of Advanced Level papers will also be opened on this day.

This decision has been taken by the Ministry after Examinations Commissioner informed the Ministry that evaluation of Advanced Level examination answer scriptswill not take place on this day.
