'Swetha Rathriya' reaches the final post

She is legendary and incomparable. The classic essence she contributed to the country's music is perpetual. A compressed account of Nanda Malani's long lasting music career 'Swetha Rathriya' is to mark its final encounter at Stein Studio in Ratmalana on September 14 at 7 pm. It first happened on on September 14 too.

Shwetha Rathriya is one of the well planned and mostly demanded musical shows in Sri Lanka which is organized by the Sirasa FM.

About 25 of Nanda Malani's best songs are sung at the show.

The specialty is all the songs are written by Professor Sunil Ariyaratne.

The music directors involved are, Rohana Weerasinghe, Stanley Peiris, Sarath Dasanayake, H M Jayawardene, Austin Munasinghe, Mervin Perera, D R Peiris and Dr. Lionel Algama. The music director of the show is Suresh Maliyadda. Swetha Rathriya is a concept of S M Marikkar.

At the very beginning it was planned to hold only 25 shows around the country. So far 24 shows have been held and this is going to be the last show. For the last two years, it was very popular and a large number of music fans were entertained by the show.
