Unilever launches 'Make your Child a Millionaire'

Unilever Pears, the most trusted baby toiletries brand in the country with a history of more than 50 years of caring for the nation's infants and young kids is offering parents a golden opportunity to make their children millionaires by the time they reach the age of 18 years.

Introduced as a Consumer Reward Programme, the Pears 'Make your Child a Millionaire' campaign aims to reward its loyal customers with children below the age of 10 years.

Under this programme, customers are encouraged to send in three Pears soap wrappers or one multi pack wrapper to P.O box 758 Colombo. The child's age should be written at the top of the envelope. Winners will be selected through a raffle draw which will be held once every week.

"The wrappers we get from consumers will be channelled into a raffle draw and the selected winners will receive a savings deposit certificate worth Rs. 1 million from Pears exclusively from Commercial Bank to the customer.

The winners could claim their money of Rs 1 million when they reach the age of 18 years." said Anya Dalpadado, Assistant Brand Manager, Pears.

Discussing the thinking behind this reward scheme, Kasun Liyanage, Snr. Brand Manager, Pears said, "The main objective of any parent is to help their child have a better future.

However, the ever changing economic and market conditions does not allow this comfort level to all parents alike. Therefore, as a brand that is close to the hearts of the local people, Pears has come forward to do our duty to help our loyal customers in a big way that would help their children realize their life ambitions."
