Police to recruit 2,124 drivers

The Police Department will recruit 2,124 police drivers under a special scheme with prospects of career advancement to those selected, Police Media Spokesman SSP Ajith Rohana said yesterday.

Details regarding the new recruitment were published on August 10 in the No 1771 gazette paper. The closing date is November 5. Applicants should not be less than 19 years and not older than 32 on the closing date of applications. Both married and unmarried persons can apply.

The applicants should also have six passes in the GCE O-L in not more than two sittings. Applicants can contact 011-2552736 or 011-2552861 for details.
