Road worker dies in accident

A road worker died while engaged in the Mahiyanganaya - Bibile road development project on Monday.

The victim aged 50, a resident of Weheragoda, had fallen into a large machine used in road construction, investigations revealed. The machine operator was arrested by the Police.

Investigations are continuing.
