The Devinuwara Pradeshiya Sabha has derived an income of over Rs 12 million from the 10 day fair held concurrent to the Esala Perahera of the Devinuwara Sri Vishnu Maha Devalaya, said Pradeshiya Sabha chairman Sujeewa Wedage.

"However, the expenditure on the fair had considerably increased this year as it was held for 10 days. After meeting the expenditure from the total income, 50 percent of the profit would be given to the Sri Vishnu Devalaya and the balance will be utilized for development work. Already Rs 2.5 million of this had been given to the Devalaya authorities," he said.
