Maldives to sign two trade agreements with SL

Maldives is very comfortable in doing business with Sri Lanka and it
will sign two bilateral trade agreements with Sri Lanka shortly.
Maldivian Deputy Finance Minister Siham Wahid said at a media briefing
in Colombo yesterday.
He said the relationship between the two countries has been positive
and the new President Mohamed Waheed Hassan Manik is scheduled to visit
Sri Lanka from August 23-24 on an official visit.
During this visit he will hold bilateral discussions with President
Mahinda Rajapaksa and senior ministers.
Asked about the financial stability in Maldives he said it is stable
but the country has to work hard, to improve that. "Tourism and
fisheries will be the main income for Maldives."
