British Airways to fly to Lanka from next March

British Airways will fly to Sri Lanka from next March, Civil Aviation
Minister Priyankara Jayaratne said.
British Airways stopped flying to Sri Lanka due to LTTE activities.
British Airways has now decided to recommence flights to the country
again, Minister Jayaratne said.
The International Civil Aviation Authority (ICAA) also confirmed Sri
Lanka is safe for international civil aviation. According to an ICAA
survey, Sri Lanka as the safest location for civil aviation among
countries in the Indian ocean while Sri Lanka is fourth in the Asian
region, the minister said.
Meanwhile, SriLankan Airlines will fly to South Korea from December.
This is the 63rd destination of SriLankan Airlines. |
