Sylvester team leader Group Study Exchange

Marketing Director of Pan Audio Private Limited and Director of Pan Care Pvt. Limited, G. S. Sylvester has been selected as team leader for the Group Study Exchange, an international programme exchange for young professionals organized by The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International. Each year, one team leader who is a Rotarian and 4 professionals reselected by the Rotary district to participate in this event. G. S. Sylvester has received the opportunity to participate as team leader of the programme in the United States this year.

G. S. Sylvester counts for over 28 years of sales and marketing experience, of which 20 years in the senior management capacity. He also has over 20 years of teaching experience in teaching marketing related subjects. He has produced many Sri Lankan Prize Winners for the subject Marketing Fundamentals of The Chartered Institute of Marketing's Postgraduate Diploma. Sylvester has a Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing - CIM (UK) and is also a Fellow of CIM (UK), a Chartered Marketer and a Fellow member of the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM).

Sylvester has held many positions in both the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) Sri Lanka Region and Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM) Executive committees, including the post of Honorary Secretary of both Institutes. He has also been the Programs Officer, Education Liaison Officer, Student Liaison Officer and the Honorary Treasurer for CIM Sri Lanka Branch, Chairman of the SLIM Awards Committee 2002 and the Chairman of SLIM Business School in 2002/03. Currently Sylvester serves as the Chairman of Education Reforms Committee of SLIM and also is an examiner for SLIM.

Sylvester is also an active member of the Rotary. During the Rotary year 2011-12, he was awarded the Best Assistant Governor of the District for Cluster 12. He was also the recipient of the Best President's Award of the Rotary District Sri Lanka in the year 2009/2010. In the same year, his Rotary Club, Rotary Club of Colombo Mid Town was awarded the best club in the district, under his leadership.

Sylvester has also conducted many training programs on customer care, presentation skills and developing selling skills. The Chartered Institute of Marketing Sri Lanka Region is proud to congratulate Sylvester and wishes him the very best on a successful journey.
