Joseph Vaz College beat formidable and more fancied Nalanda College, Colombo by 22 runs in their inter-school under - 15 division one second round first outing played at Mt. Mary grounds, Colombo. The match was confined to 47 overs due to heavy down pour in the previous night. Occupying the crease initially Jospeh Vaz batsmen could not come to expectations but the contribution made by Anushka Rehan 30 and Pasindu Dilshan carried long way for their success.

In reply to visitors total of 165 for 9 Nalandians could manage only 143 runs with S. Ratnayake making the top score of 39 runs. Joseph Vaz – 165 in 47 overs – Anushka Rehan 30, Pasindu Dilshan 28, M. Amerasinghe 3/31, D. Dilpriya 3/23.
