The 2012 All Island Kabaddi Championship (Men) of the 38th National
Sports Festival was clinched by the Western Province Kabaddi team.

Nine men's teams took part at the tourney and under the league system
Uva Province team and the Western Province team qualified for the
finals.
The finals of the tournament, the Western Province team obtained 28
points while the opponents Uva team secured only 16 points.
Sajith Indrakumar of the Western Province was adjudged the best
all-round player of the tournament.
The finals was held at the Sri Lanka Youth Ground at Maharagama. The
Deputy Director of the Sports Ministry Sajith Jayalal graced the
occasion as the chief guest. |
