Lankan HR professional awarded ‘Life Time Achievement Award’
At the recently concluded “Asia's Best Employer Brand Award 2012”
ceremony Lalith Wijetunge was awarded the “Life Time Achievement Award”
for his contribution to the Human Resources Management discipline in the
Asian region.
It is the highest honour an individual could receive for his/her
contribution to the HR field. Wijetunge is the award winner in this year
among the Asian region for “Life Time Achievement Award” in the field of
Human Resources.
Wijetunge was a past president of the Institute of Personnel
Management Sri Lanka (IPM) for three consecutive years and was
instrumental in launching the second phase of the state-of-the-Art
building project of “HR House” in Narahenpita, Colombo 5.
He is a Vice President of the Asia Pacific Federation of Human
Resources Management and the Organization of Professional Associations
Sri Lanka. He is a well-versed and reputed HR professional in the region
and has initiated various projects to uplift the quality of the working
people in the region. He had functioned in prestigious private and
public sector organizations as Head of Human Resources and presently he
is working for SLT Manpower Solutions Pvt Ltd., a fully owned subsidiary
of Sri Lanka Telecom as Head of Human Resources.
He was tasked for several international awards for his contribution
to HR fraternity in the region as his long and unstinted experience for
years in the HR field. This award deserves the calibre of a person such
as him, who had practiced and had got involved with the practical HR
experience with reputed organizations for over a long period. The award
ceremony was held in a leading hotel in Singapore under the patronage of
well-reputed HR professionals and the business leaders in the region. |
