Fighting knock by Sithara

A fighting knock of 81 runs which included eleven fours and one six by Sithara Gihan enabled Richmond College, Galle to beat Moratu Vidyalaya by 42 runs in their inter school under 17 division one second round first match played at Rathgama.

Richmond bating first totalled 238 for 9 in their allocated overs and A.K. Tyronee contributed 56 runs.

In reply Vidyalians ere all out for 196 runs.

Richmond – 238/9 (Sithara Gimhan 81, A.K. Tyronee 56, Kelum Nanayakkara 28, Maduka Sandaruwan 3/49, Harsha Devinda 2/30, Kalpana Fernando 2/41.

MMV – 196 in 47.2 overs (Ushen Tharaka 4, Thilan Kavishka 44, Dushan Sulakshana 24, Harsha Devinda 21, Savin Nanayakkara 3/36, A.K. Tyronne 2/31, Hasitha Madushan 2/32).
