MTI completes 15 years of consulting excellence

MTI Consulting completes its 15th year of operations. Having started off in Sri Lanka and Bahrain concurrently in 1997, MTI Consulting has gone on to handle over 450 assignments across 40 countries during this 15 year period.

In the process, MTI has built a network of its own operations (in 6 countries) and associates in over 25 countries, with whom MTI synergizes on project based assignments.

Most of MTI’s assignments have centered on Strategy, which is considered their core strength. In the last few years, MTI has augmented its core competency in Strategy by launching dedicated units for HR, Market Research, Corporate Finance and Technology, which have served and provided value to a multitude of regional organizations.

Reflecting on the 15 year journey, MTI's Founder and CEO Hilmy Cader said, “Whatever achievements we have had is due to the talented and committed teams we have had in the different regions and to them I say a BIG THANK YOU. It has been a fun and steep learning curve (arguably our biggest asset) which continues.”

Further focusing on MTI's Clients he said, “We are only as good as our clients! We have been fortunate to work with a fascinating mix of local and multi-national clients, large corporations and start-ups. We thankall our clients we have interfaced with, as they have enriched our experience.” In Sri Lanka over the last 15 years, MTI has carried out assignments for Access, Abans, Akbar Brothers, Aitken Spence, Amana Takaful, BOC, Blue Mountain, Chartered Accountants, Carsons, Central Bank, CIC Paints, Colombo Tea Auction, Commercial Credit, Delmege, Dimo, Dankotuwa, Dialog Axiata, Expolanka, EDB, Fonterra, Finlays, Galle Face Hotel, Janashakthi, Hameedia, Hayleys, Hirdaramani, HNBA, Imperial Tea, Lalan, Lanka Bell, Laugfs, LOLC, McLarens, MAS, Metropolitan, NIBM, NSB, Overseas School, Papyrus, Phoenix Industries, Pyramid Wlmar, Renuka Group, Sanasa, Serendib Flour Mills, Sinwa, Srilankan Airlines, Singer, SLT, Standard Chartered, Seylan Bank, Sunshine Holdings, The Finance, TATA Communications, Triumph, United Motors, Union Apparel, Union Bank, Van Rees.

Among the international names that MTI has carried out for assignments are: American Express, Batelco, Birla, Citi Bank, DHL, DuPont, Fonterra, HSBC, KPMG, Limoneira, MTC Vodafone, Nestle, Ramada, Regency Inter-Continental, Robeco, Standard Chartered, Saatchi & Saatchi, Tata. In Sri Lanka, four of the MTI projects have been presented as case studies, which includes : Hayleys, Srilankan Airlines, and MAS Slimline. In the course of the 15 years, MTI has developed a suite of internationally acclaimed research based models.
