Sala turns 20 today

Since its inception in 1992, Sala Enterprises has strived to live up to their mission statement- "We make technology affordable." Over the past 20 years, spearheaded by their founder and Managing Director- Chinthaka Wijewickrama, Sala has strived to provide Sri Lankan customers with affordable, high quality technology, while taking into account the evolving needs of Sri Lankan consumers.

Sala has been able to successfully contribute to the growth of Sri Lanka in the IT and communication sectors by identifying and attempting to fulfill the changing needs of Sri Lankan citizens. They pride themselves on their insightful and innovative approach to servicing their customers, providing customers with effective and timely technological solutions, of which most noteworthy are the GPS Navigation System, the Trilingual Language Companion and laser printed keyboards with Sinhala, English and Tamil characters. Sala has established themselves as a leading company in a fast paced industry over the past two decades.

From their birth, as a mere dream for Chinthaka Wijewickrama, they have now taken the shape of a company that is a pioneer in electronics, computer peripherals and technological solutions in Sri Lanka. In celebration of the incredible journey Sala has made over the past 2 decades, they will be hosting an anniversary celebration themed "20 years of colors of excellence" at Jaic Hilton, Colombo on the 10th of August. The event will be attended by family members, friends, clients, suppliers and other well-wishers who have helped Wijewickrama and Sala Enterprises in numerous ways.

The highlights of the evening will include a keynote speech by the Managing Director, speeches by employees and other well- wishers, entertainment items and a presentation of the 20 year long journey made by the company. This is scheduled to be not only a celebration of the journey Sala has made, but also a foundation for the journey that they will take for long years to come.
